About us

Poroparoni reindeer farm is a tourism company founded in 2025. The farm is home to Asko Moilanen and Asta Määttä. The farm was built in the late 1990s on the edge of Isovaara at the intersection of Puolangantie and Kyröntie. Asko is a reindeer herder from Hyrynsalmi, whose family has been engaged in reindeer husbandry since the late 19th century. Asta is from Posio, Lapland, and her family has been involved in reindeer husbandry since the 18th century until today.
